Luxury products developed with AI have been designed using images from old collections or by combining design styles or Data about customers or a trend (choice of colors, styles, materials, ...). To build clothing design applications, human intervention is to be preferred: most applications use "human-in-the-loop" AI models, like the Muze project from Zalando and Google, which relies on Machine Learning to create clothes.

The production of counterfeit products, which particularly impacts the Fashion and Luxury secton has a negative impact on the environment. Counterfeit luxury goods are damaging to the planet because they are often produced in polluting, clandestine factories, with an unethical supply and distribution chain. AI makes it possible to systematize the search for counterfeit fashion products on the Internet, to categorize and label them, and to train models to detect them systematically.
